Triple C

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Prov 22:6

Cove Children for Christ, also known as Triple C, is the Children’s Ministry Program currently running at Hallett Cove Baptist Church. We strongly believe in catering to the needs of individual children where ever possible, working with families to ensure that their children have fun and most importantly know that they are loved by Jesus.

We make it a priority to keep our children safe, for this reason all our leaders have obtained police clearance, and Mandatory Notification is kept up to date.
Under this Ministry you will find a number of groups catering to the developmental needs of children either by age or female/male focus. Each Sunday Children are signed in to their programs in the auditorium and join in family worship time with their parents/carers. The Triple C team then move out to their groups for the remaining service time.

Each week of the school term you will find a group running for children aged 2-12years. We are happy to take children before the age of 2 if both parents and leaders feel they are ready, as well as children over 12  years that would like to actively participate.

We also know that at times families will have commitments that may prevent them from coming to Church on a Sunday. However, please remember that if you would like to sign your children in at 10am and have them participate while you meet your commitments, we are more than happy to discuss this with you. (Please speak with the Children’s Ministry Coordinator).

The current groups being offered through Triple C include;

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12

Adventure kids currently meet 6-7 times a term. These sessions are Bible focused, with leaders concentrating the morning around relationship building, respecting one another, and taking meaning from scripture. The children are engaged in sharing time, prayer time, teaching time, hands on activities and team games. This is a wonderful time to watch our children grow as they learn about the love Jesus has for them, and how they can outwork that love for others to see!

It is our hope to see this group grow this year as we come together outside of the Church for fellowship and engage with our community as we put into practice the Church vision of transforming communities through Love, Hope and Faith in Jesus.

Every three weeks our 5-12 year olds divide into 3 separate groups. These groups came about with the knowledge that girls and boys learn differently, and were more likely to share and engage in quality teaching time when the other gender was not around. These groups are run by the same leader each time helping to establish a safe sharing environment.

The third group came about to help our younger members grow in their leadership skills and not always feel like they are the youngest. So in 2013 the following groups were established:

BOYS OF JESUS: 8-12 year boys:
With a more visual based approach. Our boys are currently using Bible Comic type books to engage with scripture with our Male Leaders. The graphics are very appealing to this group, while always remain Scripture based. The potential for this group is exciting, Stay tuned for more details.

These girls are prayer warriors! With a focus on prayer, these girls engage in a devotion time, and a craft activity which honours God. Watching these girls mature in their walk with Jesus is an honour for their leaders. We can’t wait to see what God has planned for this group in 2014.

JUNIOR LEADERS: 5-7 years (boys & girls):
New in 2014, this group of active kids will be participating in group projects, as well as spending time with the younger children in the Cove Cuties program as Junior Leaders. They will be encouraged to interact with our 2-5 year olds, building friendships to help the Cove Cuties transition into the older age groups in the coming years. As well as developing their own leadership skills as they help with telling Bible stories and completing craft activities. We know God has a lot planned for this group and we look forward to seeing it unfold as the year progresses.
